Data Architect - 1 year contract

ZTR is looking for a deeply technical Data Architect to provide architectural leadership to our data services and cloud platform teams on a 1 year contract. You will be the “go-to” subject matter expert on data quality, data profiling, data governance and lineage, data security, metadata management, data archival as well as cloud data lake/warehouse implementation.

*This role is headquartered out of our London, Ontario office with the ability to work remotely 95% of the time. The successful candidate must be located within Ontario.

You are passionate about IoT, thrive in complex situations, and most importantly, you are a team player with a strong work ethic, who wants to do great work, and isn’t afraid of hard work.

• AWS
• Tableau
• Python, Java, C++

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field. Masters degree an asset.
• 10+ years experience in Big Data with a strong understanding of data-ingestion, curation and stream processing, and enterprise architecture is expected.
• 5+ year’s hands-on experience with Data Lake/Warehouse platform implementation and best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in the assessment and determining governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the SaaS platform.

Nice to have: 

• AWS Certified Solution Architect certification.
• TOGAF ® certification.
• CISSP-ISSAP certification.
