Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work alongside a diverse and creative technically-savvy team, supporting the business vision and turning client goals into reality. 
  • Client Consultation: Leverage your 5+ years of experience to consult with leaders in medium to large corporations, independently providing strategic insights and handling high-pressure meetings with ease (15-20% of your day).
  • User-Centered Design: Focus on understanding customer needs and creating delightful experiences that exceed client goals. Collaborate with team members and senior leadership to produce exceptional design solutions.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to back every design decision, ensuring the creation of research-informed user journey maps, site maps, CRO recommendations, and wireframes.

A Day in the Life:

  • Morning Research: Start your day by staying updated on the latest digital, data, design and marketing trends to continuously hone your skills. 
  • Daily Meeting: Join the web team for a quick morning sync-up, ensuring you’re aligned with the day’s deliverables for tbk’s clients.
  • Client Consultant: Independently lead client meetings, providing strategic consulting, determining client objectives and KPIs, pitching new user journey flows, presenting brand persona analyses, and making recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Team Support: Regroup internally with the Account Strategist or Director of UX to plan next steps based on client feedback, leveraging their feedback to inform your work.
  • Strategy Development: Spend your afternoon researching, planning, and executing sitemaps, user journey flows, and wireframes for new projects, using storytelling methods to present your work to clients.
  • Leadership: End the day with a summary update for various leaders of your project portfolio, independently prioritizing your tasks for the next day.

Requirements:

  • Portfolio or case studies demonstrating your process and strategic thinking required
  • Education or Experience (we appreciate both) – College or Bachelor’s Degree in Interactive Arts and Technology, Digital/Interaction Design, User Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with an entrepreneurial mindset 
  • Thorough understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) practices, e-commerce funnels and strategically moving consumers through online buying / research journeys 
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design methodologies
  • Experience designing for business software, web, and mobile technology
  • Experience working on B2B and B2C solutions
  • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (or similar design software)
  • Proficiency with Miro (or similar digital whiteboard software)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to provide a rationale for recommendations
  • A positive and resilient personality, open to feedback and eager for continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, complexity, and scope
  • Agency experience preferred; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • GA4 Certified / Google Tag Manager certified (or similar training)
  • Looker Studio, Tableau or similar KPI Dashboard Creation experience
  • CRM experience (the big 5) considered an asset
