Description

A a Strategic Account Executive you will build relationships with technology and software providers to encourage them to join the Info-Tech/SoftwareReviews community. You will be the main conduit between technology providers and SoftwareReviews and Info-Tech members. You will work with these providers to ensure they are accurately represented in front of our analyst and member community through inclusion in market reports, analyst discussions, upcoming research, etc.

You will also work with these technology providers to sell and deliver an integrated set of go-to-market research, advisory services, and tools that help software providers better understand their customers, competitors, and markets and optimize core marketing processes. These services help high-tech executives and marketing leaders effectively manage and accelerate all aspects of go-to-market management and leadership across strategy, product, marketing, sales, and customer success.

Location- 100% Virtual Role (Anywhere in Canada)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities within your assigned territory, consisting of software categories and software providers, using various outreach methods (ie. email, phone, social, Vidyard)
  • Encourage software providers to participate in upcoming market reports primarily through collecting feedback from their customers.
  • Leverage a consultative approach to selling, understanding the needs of software providers and mapping them against solutions SoftwareReviews can deliver.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to vendor marketing, sales, analyst relations, and product departments to encourage data collection and to sell SoftwareReviews products and services.
  • Assist in the preparation of customized sales presentations by customizing PowerPoint presentations to align with target audience(s).
  • Support the growth of SoftwareReviews by creatively identifying new products, services, and outreach techniques.
  • Build relationships within software providers to develop and grow opportunities within your territory.

Experience:

  • 5-12 years of experience in business development, consultative sales or managing high tech client relationships within B2B Space.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to manage discussions with complex stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, task-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Must have proven experience working with MS Suite of products and be adept at using internal technologies and systems.
  • A continuous learning mindset and eagerness to give and receive feedback are key success factors for the role.

  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess prospect/client needs and provide actionable, outcome-based business/technical advice along with access to appropriate Info-Tech services to support the achievement of business results.
  • Strategic: Ability to evaluate emerging and longer-term opportunities and threats strategically and systematically to meet customer needs.
  • Quick Learner: Deep intellectual curiosity about the effect of customer and product insights on the business landscape & passion for learning.
