Job Description
Front End Developer (React)
When you see a poorly executed website, do you immediately want to fix it? In other words, do you “React” well?
Job Responsibilities
• Write, modify, integrate, and test user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and
browsers
• Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
• Identify and communicate about technical problems, processes and solutions
• Work with QA to ensure smooth, bug free releases
• Deliver quality products through the use of agile methodologies and test-driven development
Required Skills and Experience
• An almost obnoxious attention to detail for proper coding structures and conventions
• Strong proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object
model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Experience with Visual Studio Code
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with Git
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Proficiency or experience in C++, C#, Node.js, Google Cloud platform, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or
MongoDB are a bonus
