About the role
The Project Financial Lead – Project Engineering role will be hybrid in the London location and will join the Project Engineering team. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking and executing Trojan’s contractual requirements on complex commercial capital equipment contracts from receipt of order to delivery and customer acceptance with our end customers. You will proactively engage in hands-on and solution-oriented collaboration with multidiscipline resources predominantly in Project Management, Finance, and Sales to track and fulfill contractual requirements from a schedule and budget standpoint.
Day-to-day you will:

Engage with Customers the Project Financial Lead will ensure all necessary contract detail is provided by the customer on conclusion of negotiations and will subsequently facilitate contract execution following Trojan’s prescribed sign-off procedures

Obtain Bonds and Insurance as may be required by the contract and create the Customer Sales Order within the ERP System during project initiation

Ensure on-time processing and invoicing for customer Change Orders during project execution

Drive actions to improve Cashflow and Working Capital through on-time invoice generation. This includes independently tracking, updating, and managing contract Sales Orders and Invoicing milestones over the project life-cycle, for a portfolio of projects, to ensure a successful outcome for key stake holders.

Create and track metrics for project schedule, budget, and margin attainment

Financial Analysis related to Revenue for the global Municipal business vertical. Track and report attainment of Revenue forecasts through weekly and monthly roll-ups

Drive continuous improvement in the execution of Trojan projects and standard work with DBS (Danaher Business System) tools

Embrace and utilize a culture with regular kaizen activities leveraging daily management and continuous process improvement to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.
Are you qualified?

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field with two years relevant experience required

Prior experience in contract management, negotiation, terms and conditions required

Demonstrated track record of working with Project Manager and/or project team to deliver projects on-time, within budget, and to the contract documents, successfully managing stakeholder expectations required

Proven experience Order Entry experience for commercial orders in an ERP environment an asset

Previous experience with Capital Equipment Contracts ideal
