As a member of our Crafty team, you will be searching the world wide web to bring a continuous stream of upcycles, hacks and magnificent Pinterest creations to life through recorded and live videos.

• Find yourself aching to bring your infectious personality and love of all things DIY to the world;
• Love testing your creative limits one video at a time and you truly understand what makes other DIY-ers tick;
• Have incredible knowledge of all things Crafty and DIY and constantly stay up-to-date on new trends;
• Make creative videos showcasing your experience and expertise, executing projects successfully;
• Have excellent time-management skills and are a self-starter, ensuring original content is created each week;
• Possess a creative vision ensuring consistent creative direction for all Crafty content (from set decoration to colour palette);
• Love planning out the execution of video concepts (pre-production) from shopping/gathering all materials required, to crafting the item to the highest quality (production);
• Understand what resonates with audiences because you have experience with social platform analytics (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok) and data;
• Have dabbled in Adobe Suite (mainly Photoshop) and have a solid understanding of visual aesthetics and colour palettes;
• Love being on-camera and are an expert at both live and recorded videos;
• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment where you balance many tasks, topics, priorities and deadlines all at once;
• Are comfortable taking initiative, working in collaboration with others, and love being part of a tight-knit community of like-minded individuals always ready to lend a hand.

About this role…

The DIY Specialist searches the world wide web to bring a continuous stream of upcycles, life hacks and magnificent Pinterest creations to life. This role is supported by a team of skilled video producers who will ensure amazing work is filmed and edited at the highest level. The DIY Specialist unleashes their inner actor to engage in weekly LIVE shows and also some pre-recorded videos as well. Testing and analyzing content performance is key, so the DIY Specialist uses data to back up their success with the objective of expanding and improving audience engagement with each and every video. The DIY Specialist is the shining star of Crafty and plays a critical role in satisfying millions of fans who crave to see stellar creations spring to life.

Please note:

Diply has offices in both Toronto and London (ON), however, our preference is to hire in the London (ON) region (or close to) because the Crafty studio is located in our London office. Any candidates outside of the London ON area will have a requirement of weekly travel to the studio in London, ON or you must be willing to relocate.
