Position Summary:
Drive process improvement around inventory integrity throughout material movement and consumption using continuous inventory valuation, defined processes and effective problem solving.  Work cross functionally with other functions to drive the adoption of all Inventory Control Process and Material flow while looking at ways to optimize and improve efficiencies.

 

Accountabilities

  • Owner of cycle count program and annual physical inventory (raw materials, WIP and finished goods), ensuring compliance to Danaher Accounting Policies
  • Create templates and reports for Planning Team to use in the execution of their daily work, enabling the monitoring of material supply against demand
  • Responsible for inventory adjustments and write offs, including investigation and root cause analysis to determine recommendations for any required corrective action
  • Create, maintain and improve inventory control processes. Implement proactive measures and continuous improvements to ensure inventory discrepancies can be prevented
  • Perform slow-moving analysis and execute obsolescence activities
  • Support Operations and Finance with month-end and year-end close-out activities
  • Develop inventory dashboard to consolidate relevant monthly results including inventory loss (write offs, waste, reserve) as well as quality (holds, returns, claims)
  • Support Team with Problem-Solving-Process (PSP), improvement initiatives and mentoring/development of team

 

Measures of Performance

  • Cycle Count Accuracy – improvement targets
  • Reduce Inventory Dollars – improvement targets
  • Inventory Turns – improvement targets

 

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Supply-Chain-Management, Operations Management, Business or Equivalent
  • Over 3 years experience in Material Planning, Inventory Control or Financial Analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP Systems. 
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of inventory control principals, including KanBan
  • Process focused with continuous improvement and customer (user) mindset
  • Works collaboratively across a variety of functions for maximum impact
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
  • Proficiency with Business Analytic Tools (Tableau or PowerBI) considered an asset
