Aircraft Technical Records Specialist

 

Job Description

The Aircraft Technical Records Specialist will be primarily responsible for creating aircraft templates in the WinAir application based on technical documentation and entering and auditing aircraft technical records into WinAir. As they grow in terms of their understanding of the application, they will apply their expertise by providing on-site and online training sessions for WinAir customers upon request.

The Aircraft Technical Records Specialist must pay close attention to details, ensuring the accuracy of data; they will also work closely with customers to address their requirements and questions by providing guidance or solutions in a professional manner.

NOTE: This opportunity has a full-time remote option for candidates residing in Canada.

Principal Accountabilities

Aircraft Services
  • Develop and update the program of fleet maintenance according to the requirements of manufacturers and other aviation regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the incorporation of the maintenance program.
  • Create and update aircraft templates for all types of aircraft.
  • Create/Amend master airworthiness directives.
  • Communicate with customers via in-house database, remote technology and phone.
  • Download, extract and analyze customer databases for testing purposes.
  • Assist with database preparation, data conversions for system upgrades, and installations.
  • Propose appropriate and creative solutions to problems discovered during testing.
  • Take ownership of technical issues and collaborate with developers, sales, training staff and customers to resolve issues.
  • Provide written and verbal responses to customer queries.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
Training
  • Continuously learn WinAir application and apply learning in training capacity.
  • Travel to customer’s facilities to provide training presentations and hands-on support.
  • Provide online training presentations.
  • Complete necessary training documents before and after the training trip.

Qualifications

Experience and Education
  • Minimum College Diploma in a Aviation-related discipline, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Previous work experience with developing and/or using aircraft maintenance programs is a strong asset.
Skills and Aptitudes
  • Strong fundamental aircraft knowledge
  • Familiarity with the rules relating to the MSM, MRB, and MPD
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Internet Browsers
  • Must be professional, articulate and able to achieve goals with minimal supervision
  • High technical aptitude and proficiency with general information technology
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Environment and Physical
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasional travel will be required
    • Valid passport and a driver’s license is required.
    • Be open to criminal record checks based on the customer’s security or other country’s Visa requirements
