Research Project Manager

 

Location:  U.S. Remote/Canada Remote

Reports to:  Senior Director, Project Management & Operational Strategy

 

The Role: 

A Research Project Manager coordinates the research team and leads the project management activities across market research and internal initiative projects including schedule creation, project monitoring, risk management, issue management and costing. Project Managers serve as the single point of accountability for the delivery of projects on time and within budget.

 

The Impact:

The Project Manager will ensure that assigned studies are delivered to meet the objectives of the business and key stakeholders, while maximizing efficiency and driving continuous improvement using project management best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

•    Plan and manage a portfolio of market research projects or internal initiative projects with minimal oversight.
•    Develop detailed project plans that align schedules and resources. 
•    Gather information for labor and costs estimates from internal departments and external vendors during planning.
•    Monitor and control assigned projects during implementation including updating/adjusting project plan.
•    Facilitate status meetings and distribute meeting notes.
•    Assess and report project health and risks to project team, key stakeholders and direct manager.
•    Conduct root cause and develop action plans to resolve project issues.
•    Update and maintain all project information in project management software.


 

Qualifications:

•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a market research setting
•    Minimum Education:  Bachelor's Degree
•    Broad knowledge of market research methodologies and project management
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Collaborative with a team-focused mindset
•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
•    Project management certification (CAPM, or PMP) and experience with any project management software desired but not required
•    Occasional business travel to the United States and/or Canadian office locations, as needed
