Senior Back-End/Cloud Developer
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Digital Extremes is seeking a Senior Back-End/Cloud Developer to join our team with experience in game development for our external project endeavors; this is a specialized role, and we're trying to find just the right person to fill it. This posting is for a new internal team working with cutting edge technologies, in an exciting novel area of development for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in back-end technology choices.
• Cost-efficient back-end coding practices.
• Write robust, maintainable and secure code.
• Game client/server communication with back-end code.
• Web-app front-end communication with back-end code.
• Maintain code performance through profiling and optimization.
• Correspond with parties involved in features and feature requests.
REQUIREMENTS
• Requisite language expertise: Node.js / Typescript, C++/C, Go (basic familiarity)
• Databases: MongoDB [or similar NoSQL], SQL
• UE4 [or similar engine] experience
• Linux experience
• AWS [or similar provider] experience
• Perforce, Git
• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science
• Strong communication skills, work ethic and motivation.
