Client Service Specialist, Individual Wealth - 12 Month Contract

Reporting to the Associate Manager, Individual Retirement Savings Administration, you will be responsible for the administration of Segregated Funds for the Savings side of the business for Canada Life.  You will be a resource for our Field Partners, Financial Advisors, teammates, and the Client Service Centre, seeking to resolve questions, concerns and problems.

 

What you will do:

  • Issuing and administering savings segregated funds
  • Processing new deposits, redemptions and general administration for segregated funds
  • Checking to ensure contracts are error free
  • Providing exceptional, professional, customer service to our internal and external customers
  • Producing excellent quality; few errors; identify problems and provide possible solutions (achieving consistent excellent audit results)
  • Handling inquiries from clients, advisors/brokers, field partners, internal and external business partners; inquiries include phone calls, e-mails and formal letters
  • Acknowledging all inquiries within 24 hours. Consistently meets admin services standards; provides clear and concise communication.
  • Reconciling accounting errors and making adjustments as necessary
  • Project involvement and miscellaneous duties as requested and/or required
  • Understanding pension legislation and related products (RRSP, Non-Reg RRIF, LIF)

 

What you will bring:

  • Experience working with the Segregated Fund product
  • Knowledge of the Unitrax system
  • In depth knowledge of processes and procedures for Canada Life  including the structure of the distribution channel is an asset
  • Strong proven attention to detail
  • Pension legislation and related products (RRSP, Non-Reg RRIF, LIF) knowledge
  • FundSERV knowledge is an asset.
  • Self-motivated, commitment to self-development and enjoy a challenging and demanding workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn and grasp new concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to deal with difficult situations; critical thinking
  • Strong customer service skills

  • Able to work in ambiguous and unstructured situations

The base salary for this position is between  $46,200.00 - $ maximum annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
