Business Development - Communications and Financial Writer

The Role: Associate Communications Specialist (Business or Finance Writer/Editor for Publications), PVR Business Development

The Team: Our Pricing, Valuations and Reference Data (PVR) products help customers formulate and optimize trading and investment positions, make more informed trading decisions, and mitigate risk with high-quality, independent pricing data. Our data spans a wide range of fixed income and derivative asset classes, including market-leading credit default swaps (CDS) and loan franchises, plus CLOs and bonds in the municipal, corporate and global securitized sectors. Our sophisticated technology powers our data services. We build our innovative tools with an emphasis on transparent methodology and flexible delivery, alongside a team of leading fixed income experts who deliver unique cross-asset insight. Our offerings include detailed liquidity metrics and transparent information about pricing sources and methodologies.

The Impact: We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented writer with editing, formatting, and organization skills to work with our product experts to create, update, revise, format, and publish customer-facing materials. Working with leads from our business development, product, marketing, branding, and creative teams, you would be responsible for coordinating and updating our library of documents, presentations, factsheets, web content, intranet sites/communities, and more. Our materials have varying degrees of scope and complexity and require a high degree of attention to detail, whether editing for grammar or content – or ensuring branding and formatting standards are maintained.

What’s in it for you:

  • Build your career with a respected, global company recognized as a great place to work.
  • Learn and work on a wide array of products that fuel the global financial markets.
  • Learn and apply a new, thoughtfully designed and modern branding system.
  • Opportunity for input and inventiveness in defining the role, processes, and more.
  • Work closely with senior leaders across our division and products.
  • Grow and improve your skills in a fast-paced, nimble team environment where your contributions and ideas are valued.
  • Thrive in a culture that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and a ready willingness to help.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, edit, format an array of customer-facing methodology documentation, user guides, marketing materials, reports, and presentations in collaboration with our product subject experts.
  • Follow standard branding, formatting, and editing guidelines and use templates to ensure professional quality materials.
  • Engage with our geographically dispersed and diverse product teams to manage updates and source input.
  • Manage the process to track, approve, publish, and archive our library of materials.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate status to internal clients and management as needed.
  • Help document editing and formatting guidelines for our teams and mentor other team members on how to produce standard, professional materials.
  • Help design and develop templates.
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience or passion for writing and presentation required!
  • Excellent writing, grammar, editing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to digest technical or financial information and edit/revise to ensure professional, clear, standard, and effective use of the language.
  • Bachelor's Degree desired, preferably a writing or communications major or minor. Writing or editorial work experience or an internship in finance or marketing is a plus.
  • Experience using style guides and writing/editing long documents and presentations is a big plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), experience creating graphs and charts, and a modern design mindset helpful.
