ZTR is looking for an accomplished Senior .Net Developer who is looking to take on technical leadership through supporting our existing cloud platform and delivering new features and platform solutions!

Reporting to the Supervisor of Core platform team, you will be part of a cross functional team responsible for cloud infrastructure and core platform concerns. As the successful candidate, you will have experience designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications; accompanied by a strong understanding of best practices related to scalability, performance and security.

ZTR is headquartered in London, ON; for this role, remote work is available.

As the Senior .Net Developer you will:

• Develop IoT platform solutions as part of cross functional project teams, focusing primarily on software development, but with the opportunity to participate in cloud infrastructure related work.
• Build and support high performance, highly secure and scalable platform features
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on end-state framework and governance and implementing tools and policies for cloud data governance and reporting.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the team.
• Test the platform in controlled, real situations before wide release.
• Ensure availability of required development and staging environments through monitoring, support and maintenance activities, utilizing industry best-practices to drive higher orders of efficiency in the IIoT department.
• Estimate and plan work, delivering within scope, timelines and budget.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation as required
• Assist Architects in researching, testing, and implementing next-gen platform capabilities and assist ‘lift ‘n shift’ of existing legacy services using the most appropriate solutions available.
• Assist with management of cloud infrastructure and system administration as needed

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 8+ years experience designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications.
• C# (demonstrated proficiency)
• Strong understanding in container orchestration, job automation, and deployment using tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with development of REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficient in serverless architecture and containerization.
• Application of API security standards, including OAuth2.0 / OIDC.
• Knowledgeable in DevOps practices, source control (Git), and Agile methodology

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and requirement gathering techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a transparent and open team.

Nice to have:

• Experience engineering “cloud native” and/or “hybrid cloud” solutions leveraging Google GCP, Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Diverse language proficiency (Java, C++, Python, other, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate Level (AWS CDA) or AWS Certified Solution Architect certification is an asset.
