Senior Research & Forecasting Analyst Interior Components - Canada remote

 

Your role

Are you an expert in Vehicle Interior technologies? Are you passionate about cars? Do you enjoy analyzing markets and technologies while developing new solutions for clients?  

The Supply Chain and Technology team at S&P Global Mobility is looking for a Senior Research & Forecasting Analyst within its Materials and Vehicle Dynamics practice. The role will primarily:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to build in-depth understanding of North American automotive interiors and lighting markets as related to seating technologies, interior/ambient lighting trends as well as the impact of automotive mega trends (i.e. autonomy) on these areas (e.g.: future of seating).
  • Maintain databases which track a set of attributes related to interior and lighting technologies including front/rear lighting, ambient lighting, seat recliners/adjusters, airbags and more
  • Present findings/data via webinars and at conferences/tradeshows/client events
  • Nurture a network of contacts at automotive interior/lighting companies, both at regional and global level

 

Your team

You will be working within the Materials & Vehicle Dynamics (MVD) Practice integrated in the Supply Chain and Technology Team. While the job location is flexible, we operate as a fully global team with over 100 analysts in 20 offices around the globe. The MVD team consists of 12 analysts, dedicated to four major automotive domains (Chassis/Interior/Lighting/Materials domains)

 

Your expertise

You have

  • Proven understanding of current and future trends in automotive interior and lighting technologies and their various applications.
  • Passion and knowledge of automotive, technology, and/or interior industry.
  • OEM and/or Tier-1 relevant experience is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); understanding of database mechanics helpful but not essential (e.g. Access, Knime)
  • Strong presentations skills and comfortable in client interactions a plus
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of another language would be considered a plus

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,341 to $90,000 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

 

This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global/IHS Markit benefits.
