Why We’re Looking
Our growing business is using technology to change the way our industry works, and we’re focused on constantly coming up with new ideas and better ways to serve our clients. Our days typically involve a fair amount of individual work, daily scheduled collaboration sessions, and lots (and lots) of coffee.
We need someone who likes to think outside of the box, is willing to work hard to help grow the business, and who puts our clients first. If this sounds like you, please read on!
Who We Are
EKSiT was founded in 2010 in London, Ontario. Over the last 9 years, we have helped small business owners plan for their exit from the business and achieve their personal goals. The problem was that the needs of the business owner weren’t being put first, and we realized that businesses that were more saleable were being penalized by having to pay more when it came time to exit. In 2017, we decided we’d had enough and that business owners deserved better than what companies like us had to offer.
In early 2018, we launched our proprietary software, the EKSiT Outlook. The response from the market has been exceptional – and we’re ready to keep building and innovating, with a new version of the software planned for 2020.
What We Need
We’re not just looking for someone who can sit and code all day; we want someone who is excited about (and capable of) taking a great product and working hard to make it exceptional. There is no other software like this, so it’s constantly evolving - and we’re looking for someone who is really excited to be part of something new.

This position will include the following core responsibilities:
- Developing functionalities based on company specifications; building core product and upcoming features
- Analyzing business requirements and facilitating design and development of web applications from concept to release
- Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
- Developing ideas for new programs, products or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
- Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
- Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members
- Taking lead on projects, as needed.

- 3-5+ years experience in backend development
- RDBMS (MS-SQL, Postgresql)
- Firebase Realtime DB
- Kubernetes, Google Cloud/AWS
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
