We are looking for a full-time Senior Human Resources Advisor. The role supports the Director of HR by upholding company HR policies and programs. It focuses on employee/labour relations, leadership training, recruitment, learning, compensation, benefits, disability management, wellness, and health and safety initiatives.

About the Role

  •  The Senior Human Resources Advisor will support, interact with and act as a sounding board in relation to the Director and HR and be able to uphold Human Resources policies and programs throughout the company. The main focus of the role will be supporting organizational initiatives, building and maintaining employee/labour relations, including support in leadership training, recruiting processes, evaluating and promoting learning, compensation, benefits and disability management and evaluating and supporting total wellness and health and safety programs. 
  • The Senior Human Resources Advisor will support, develop, and communicate HR programs to team members and managers across the organization to meet business requirements, promote employee engagement, attain organizational goals, and enable culture and core values. 
  • In addition, they will function as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to resolve employee relations matters and to provide guidance to leadership relating to performance management issues, disability, policy and contract interpretation, conflict situations, attendance issues, coaching and disciplinary discussions and conducting internal investigations.

 

 Experience

  • Diploma or post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management with a concentration on Leadership Training/Development. CHRP/CHRL designation is preferred.
  • 10+ years of a combination of progressive HR generalist experience, including Talent Management and/or Recruiter background, HR best practices in the following areas: performance management, recruitment, disability, labour relations, benefits administration, policy development, wellness and safety, and labour relations. 
  • Solid understanding of the application of labour regulations, including employment standards, workers' compensation, health and safety, human rights, privacy, labour relations and other relevant legislation. 
  • Perform a lead role in employees' professional development and manage the planning, design, delivery and evaluation of a wide variety of learning and development programs. 
  • Manage and coordinate the development and delivery of standard leadership development programs, including building individualized and group development programs for all levels of leadership. 
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, possess strong administrative and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with HR information systems 
  • Ability to travel to various work locations.
