We are looking for Manager, Corporate Systems.

 

This is an exciting and challenging role, where the successful incumbent will provide front line technical leadership, advisory and solutions to business areas spanning HR, Corporate Services, Procurement, Corporate Communications and Corporate Treasury within Global Corporate Technology (GCT).

 

Reporting to the AVP of HR Technology & Corporate Services Portfolio, the successful incumbent will use their experience and deep technical expertise, to assist with planning, estimating, and consulting on complex business cases, projects, and work packages. They will work with architecture and operations to recommend and implement solutions to the business that is aligned to our transformational journey to cloud and SaaS models. 

 

As a people manager, this person will directly manage a team of technical professionals and indirectly manages technical resources assigned to projects.

 

Who you are:
 

Portfolio Management & Leadership: 

  • Oversees the management of technical resources over large bodies of work crossing multiple projects, products or initiatives, including conveying strategic technical direction.
  • Manages a team of technical professionals and provides leadership on strategic objectives, including providing feedback, coaching to on performance, development, etc.
  • Contributes to team, financial, and workforce planning.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to the business areas by proactively building relationships to understand business current state, short- and longer-term priorities.
  • Partners with the business and GCT to develop strategic and operational plans related to the product/portfolio.
  • Partners with preferred vendors (SAP, SuccessFactors, IBM, etc.) to understand product roadmaps, recommending new solutions and ideas to enhance business deliverables and our technology ecosystem.
  • Provides technical thought leadership on products (SAP HCM on premise, SAP SuccessFactors and SaaS solutions) within the corporate functions space working with our architecture team, the business and vendors to move off premise and migrate to cloud solutions.
  • Creates and manages metrics dashboards to showcase productivity, costs, demand, supply and spend; using a data driven approach for decision making.
  • Rapidly acquires new knowledge, learns new skills, and applies original thinking to produce new ideas while understanding the organization’s vision and values.
  • Acts as the Technical Lead on projects, managing the teams through goal setting, time management, planning and leveraging practices and process to manage and simplify work.

Technical Consulting & Execution:

  • Uses best practice consulting methodologies to document use cases, guiding businesses on expected outcomes, translating them into requirements and prototyping and/or providing technical solutions.
  • Promotes best-practice solutions for technical processes based on product capabilities (e.g. SAP HCM, SAP Financials and/or SuccessFactors).
  • In ambiguous situations guides stakeholders to made decisions and/or come to a resolution on outstanding items/ issues.
  • Executes projects and large work package as needed; (analysis, design, configuration, prototyping, testing, deployment) across various premise and cloud products.

Transformation & Continuous Improvement: 

  • Acts as a change agent by actively promoting the review and implementation of new department technologies, methods, practices, and tools to evolve corporate technology’s brand, product, and service offerings.
  • Proactively seeks out and recommends processes, automation, and system opportunities to reduce manual effort/time and decrease implementation time.
  • Actively promotes and influences the need for continuous improvement to various stakeholders
     

What will you bring:
 

  • 5+ years experience managing a team of IT professionals, including execution of human resource programs, career and growth coaching and mentoring, development paths.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience as a Functional IT Consultant within an HR or corporate functions portfolio.
  • 5+ years providing consulting on large scale ERP technical/ SaaS implementations and/or migrations (e.g. PeopleSoft, SAP HCM, Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.).
  • University or College education in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Technology, Business Administration or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience working within SDLC/Agile:  analysis, design, configuration, prototyping, testing deployment with cloud and on-premises applications.
  • Previous experience attracting, motivating, developing and retaining talent to build the right teams.
  • Previous experience working in a vendor managed services model.
  • Experience working with demanding business areas, managing relationships, and setting expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, working on multiple projects simultaneously and juggling priorities.
  • Oversees the mentorship and development of resources, methodologies, providing guidance on complex issues
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to maintain and enhance collaboration across teams
  • Must have a positive, optimistic attitude- solution oriented focused on improvement.
  • Is a change agent, embraces and promotes change, excited about adapting new tools and processes and assists with deployment.
  • Demonstrated high level of personal ownership, collaborative team- work, holistic value-centric perspective, work adaptability and innovation.

Nice to Have: 

    • Ability to understand and debug ABAP codes would be an asset.
    • General knowledge of HR or Finance business processes/practices.
    • Experience with SAP activate methodology.
