Senior Financial Accountant

ZTR has an opportunity for a driven and detail oriented Senior Financial Accountant. In this role, you will be the in charge of the month end & year end activities, and regular monthly financial reports while providing exemplary leadership and assistance to both the Finance Team and cross functional teams at ZTR.

As the Senior Financial Accountant you will:

• Conduct month end and year end accounting for all businesses
• Compile, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and reports in a timely manner
• Prepare cashflow reports and assist in cashflow forecasting
• Provide regular financial report outs to key stakeholders
• Responsible for US sales, use tax, and HST/GST compliance and reporting of all government remittances.
• Collaborate and assist closely with cross-functional teams with project accounting and reporting
• Supports the strategic planning process by budgeting and forecasting with management team
• Ensures compliance to ASPE and US GAAP appropriately
• Maintains and develops accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Display strong analytical judgement to provide formal recommendations on financial issues
• Provide innovative alternatives to current processes that’ll provide performance improvements and cost reduction.
• Evolve into a subject matter expert on our designated ERP software
• Provide mentoring, training, and support to the Finance Team as needed

 Minimum Qualifications: 

• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or relevant equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting or other relevant position
• A CPA, CMA, CA, or CGA Designation
• Excellent customer service, and business communication skills with all levels of staff and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail, and problem solving skills
• Familiarity handling multi-currency financial reporting is an asset
• Experience with ERP system implementation and/or optimization experience is an asset
• Ability to be resourceful, flexible, and team-oriented in a high- paced environment
