Financial KPI's Reporting & Analysis

Internal Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Remote Canada or Remote US
Reports to Title: Brian Snider - Sr. Director Financial Planning & Analysis


The Role:

This position offers the opportunity to support our Executive Committee by analyzing and reporting on the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that drive our business. You’ll also have the opportunity to analyze variances vs. the budget or prior year results to help develop the narrative of how the business is performing.


The Impact

This experience will provide a view of the kinds of financial drivers and key performance indicators that we rely on to guide the business.. You’ll be exposed to concepts around budgeting, driver analysis, and financial communications. A high performer in this role will be able to spot unfavorable trends as they develop and communicate what they’ve found to senior leadership. You’ll have the chance to help drive the financial performance of JD Power.


Responsibilities
  • Support monthly reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Analyze KPI trends over time
  • Help prepare the narrative for where we’re performing well vs. where we’re behind plan, and what we could do to get back on track

Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years of corporate finance roles with experience in budget & forecasting activities
  • BBA (or equivalent 4-year degree) with a concentration in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong analytical skills - able to work with large data sets, tie data to expected results, and problem solve when outputs conflict with expectations
  • Software experience in Excel a must, Preference for experience with NetSuite (or similar business enterprise software) and Salesforce (or similar customer relationship management software)
