Director, Technology Development

FreePoint Technologies Inc. is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team in the position of Director, Technology Development.

FreePoint is a customer focused company that develops solutions to make our clients more productive. This is the Head of Department position that reports to the CEO. The Director, Technology Development will be responsible for managing a team of software developers and hardware specialists to build the products our customers request.

As a member of the Executive Team, working collaboratively with other departments is paramount in achieving the business goals and the strategic plan of the organization. A direct channel to the Board of Directors also provides direction and immediate feedback.

The ideal candidate provides expertise in both software and hardware design and development.

Job Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree in business or a technology-related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years in management and leadership roles with a track record of technology innovation, design, development and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of IIOT, cloud and web technology, and big data.
• The ability to drive and champion technological innovation for the company to ensure competitive advantage.
• Experience working with manufacturing customers is an asset.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
