You will be responsible for the Software Development work within the organization. You will be working in the IoT field on our telematics devices which communicate locomotive information to our cloud platform. You will be working on physical hardware devices, while also, supporting development within our cloud platform. We need your assistance and expertise to bring in software standards, taking ownership and make recommendations where you see fit. You’ll be helping to mentor and coach other Developers through best practices and breaking down tasks.

For this role, hybrid and remote work is available
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting other software developers
- Architecture and design our new hardware devices
- Migrating of our current hardware devices to a new Linux based device
- Implementing the full development life cycle from gathering requirements to production support
- Revising and assisting in implementing development standards and processes
- Adding new features to software and troubleshooting existing features
- Providing post production support and product lifecycle support
- Accepting responsibility and ownership for projects as assigned
Who Are you?
- Skilled in application development in C++, familiarity of C# is an asset
- Seasoned as a professional software development role
- Adept in mentoring and coaching other Developers
- Familiarity and experience with different protocols: MQTT, CoAP, RS232/485, modbus and Ethernet protocols
- Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
