Learning and Development (L&D) is responsible for the strategic direction and establishment of learning and development solutions to build capabilities for leaders and employees consistent with TD’s business objectives and talent strategy.

 

Job Description

About this Role

The Learning Technology & Analytics Specialist is a key role within the L&D function tied to both learning technology and data & analytics. The role supports the maturation and growth of TD’s learning ecosystem and L&D’s stewardship of enterprise learning and development data. They lead projects and initiatives aligned with the learning technology roadmap. The Learning Technology & Analytics Specialist has strong expertise in their field and stays on top of emerging learning technology and data & analytics trends and will be expected to demonstrate this expertise to help influence the learning technology roadmap.

CUSTOMER

  • Bring a consulting and horizontal skillset to lead and support multiple types of engagements encompassing people, process, data, reporting, and technology aligned to key business imperative
  • Own or contribute to the development of learning technology and analytics related assets including methodologies, playbooks and training programs
  • Identify and execute on the opportunities to reach the next level of learning technology capability and accelerate data delivery
  • Strong problem resolution and consensus building skills
  • Strong focus on attention to detail to produce and communicate high quality, accurate and timely deliverables
  • Plan, manage, lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of business requirements for learning solutions in support business initiatives intake

SHAREHOLDER

  • Develop and distribute change communications as it relates to learning technology release management
  • Identify and analyze data and technical issues in partnership with technology partners and work with vendor towards a fix
  • Translate L&D business requirements to analytics and reporting needs that can be easily interpreted by our Data Analytics and Reporting partners as well as other target audiences
  • Support and execute data & reporting to meet enterprise level L&D needs
  • Apply understanding of learning technology platforms to produce relevant and meaningful data insights to support business goals and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with Thrive Pathway Governance Lead
  • Work with 3rd party content providers on content usage, release, and retirement management
  • Build strong relationships with Line of business partners and other key internal and external partners (LOB Analytics, Privacy, TRIMS, etc.)
  • Works with L&D Leadership and LSAs/TLAs to facilitate the identification and articulation of key LOB learning technology and analytic needs and contribute to accelerating their delivery
  • Excellent relationship management skills with many diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with Senior Management.
  • Working with ambiguity to breakdown and solve business problems by delivering a strategy, methodology, solution/approach, and building consensus with stakeholders across L&D & Partners
  • Leads learning solutions business requirements management / work packages for learning technology projects with multiple stakeholders and across multiple Lines of Business
  • Provide leadership and work collaboratively with stakeholders including business, technology and finance partners to support project benefits and changes to business processes, policies and systems across multiple LoB #CTOCareers

 

Requirements

TEAM
  • Explore trends and changes in learning technology platforms/applications and contribute to the long-term team strategy and roadmap
  • Explore and assess new functionality planned or launched by our learning technology vendors to analyze which and how it can be leveraged by TD and any limitations they have
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of standards and governance of learning applications
  • Leads knowledge management functions for emerging learning technology team, including EDLM
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound to advanced knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices and standards across the project life-cycle
  • Identifies, coordinates and in some cases leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels
  • Provide specialized learning business application management guidance and support for L&D function
  • Provide support on deployment and change management for learning initiatives relating to applications owned and managed.

BREADTH & DEPTH
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Proven learning technology and analytics expertise with track record of identifying business opportunities and delivering solutions that encompass people, process, data, and technology
  • Experience developing and implementing Enterprise L&D capabilities with business and product knowledge
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in learning technology and data analytics and/or consulting, ideally in an influencing or advisory capacity
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate in a related field
  • Experience within data management or corporate areas preferred
  • Strong analytical skills to exercise judgement and identify solutions
  • In-depth industry knowledge, including current big data trends and challenges globally #LI-Hybrid

Please Note: We are currently operating in a hybrid environment with two days a week in the office being typical.
