TD IT Build covers a number of functional disciplines or practice areas. These technology professionals demonstrate incredible commitment through their participation in a combination of build-related functions or activities, such as:

  • Application and implementation of platform design patterns and standards for infrastructure components across various platform domains;
  • Delivery Management functions within the build mandate to co-ordinate and drive deployment- related activities;
  • Structured focus on project delivery to implement deliverables for their respective and specialized areas of infrastructure build; and
  • Specialized Services functions that provision contact center infrastructure and network-related infrastructure work for Real Estate and/or Branch environments, hardware assets etc.

Job Description

This position will be responsible to;

  • Build strong relationships with employees who have complex assistive technology solutions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of desktop / software configurations and identify compatibility / usability challenges
  • Provide 3rd level support for incidents involving assistive technology
  • Represent Assistive Technologies on projects to help implement accessibility policies, guidelines and techniques
  • Act as a resource to share technical information with project teams developing IT solutions
  • Communicating with external vendors and partners in regard to accommodations, clarifying information and enquiries
  • Respond to intake enquiries, engaging the support, order desk and service staff as needed
  • Assist users by referring them to appropriate process and procedures
  • Prepare and update documentation as required including processes and procedures, month end reports, and knowledge records.
  • Develop customized techniques and macros to automate and reduce repetitive activities, enhancing user productivity
  • Work with business analysts to identify job role accountabilities and document customized procedures to allow assistive technology users to complete job role tasks
  • Assessment of applications, both internally developed or purchased, to determine their level of accessibility
  • Develop and deliver customized learning programs for assistive technology users who are new to their role
  • Research, test and certify assistive technology standards
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the accessibility industry and emerging technology and support techniques

 

Requirements

  • Independent self-starter with a strong commitment to service and operational excellence
  • Advanced knowledge of assistive technology software scripting and programming techniques including JAWS Scripting, JavaScript, HTML, and Visual Basic
  • Advanced knowledge of accessibility products and IT accessibility standards (i.e. WCAG 2.0, Section 508)
  • Possesses strong critical thinking skills and drive to analyze and develop solutions to complex configuration challenges
  • Experience with formal testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication, training and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • It is a Hybrid role. Expected to work from office once a week.

Specific Education Requirements / Accreditations:

University, college, or equivalent work experience. Ability to accommodate occasional travel to TD locations.
