Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of allocated account cash receipts.  The AR Coordinator follows established procedures and guidelines for reviewing customer payment history, processing credits & payments and reporting instances of concern. The AR Coordinator also ensures that payment deductions are accurately assessed and that outstanding debts are followed-up on according to established collection targets.  They work closely with various departments to verify approvals, support credit investigations and provide general department support as required.

What will you be doing?

  •  Daily posting of all electronic fund transfers in multiple currencies including credit card payments and cheques
  •  Statement reconciliation and account maintenance including resolving discrepancies through direct communication with customers
  •  Processing approved debit and credit notes
  •  Various related duties including providing invoices and proof of delivery, releasing orders and creating manual invoices
  •  Assist with month-end closing and report preparation as required

What can you bring to the table?

  •  Post-secondary education in a business or accounting program
  •  1-3 years’ experience working in accounts receivable and general accounting functions
  •  Solid computer skills including MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s)
  •  Experience working with an ERP accounting program (MS Dynamics 365 an asset)
  •  Excellent organization skills and attention to detail 
  •  Possess exceptional customer service, problem solving, communication, decision making, organization and trouble shooting skills
  •  Ability to work independently
