Compensation: $58,000 – $65,000 base salary + quarterly performance bonuses

Overview/Summary

At tbk we engineer Canada’s best websites, digital products, platforms, and experiences.

We’re adding to our team of Canada’s best with the addition of a Marketing & Business Development Manager. This role reports to tbk’s CEO & Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and works alongside our leadership team to build and execute tbk’s own marketing plan, manage outbound and inbound sales initiatives and nurture new leads for the agency.

As a Marketing & Business Development Manager you have at least (5) years of experience developing and executing marketing campaigns and sales strategies that effectively build brand awareness and generate qualified leads. You are comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs.  You have a passion for storytelling and finding creative ways to tell brand stories and drive revenue growth. You own your B2B marketing campaigns across the full marketing mix. You have experience in CRM management, campaign management, lead generation, email marketing, digital and social marketing, are commercially minded and can source and produce quality content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Working in partnership with the creative, web and digital teams, develop creative briefs and strategies to meet objectives for all advertising and public-­facing communications for the tbk brand, including print, digital, and video campaigns.
  • Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels.
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing and sales initiatives with tracking and analysis and optimize accordingly.
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate qualified leads for the agency.
  • Nurture inbound leads, build and manage a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline and manage the company’s CRM in accordance with targets.
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture potential business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various internal resources.
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company.

Skills Required

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, business or management.
  • At least five years’ experience in a marketing or business development role.
  • Extensive knowledge of online and offline marketing strategies, channels, data analysis and branding. Proven experience building, implementing, managing, and optimizing a marketing plan for a professional services firm is a strong asset.
  • Proven experience with building and managing CRM software (i.e., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
  • A proven track record using a sales methodology to generate business leads, open doors, and manage the sales cycle from beginning to end.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, independent thinker, and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
