Finance Clerk

Reporting to the Accountant, the Finance Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Finance Clerk is responsible for accounts payable entry, vendor statement reconciliations, expense report processing, corporate credit card administration and other general accounting duties to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting for multiple legal entities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Record and pay vendor invoices in a timely manner
• Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable records
• Administer and process all purchases made on corporate credit cards and issue corresponding payments
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy, policy compliance and process payments through payroll
• Communicate with employees regarding expense policy and processing questions along with corporate travel matters
• Provide innovative recommendations on improving current policies and processes
• Assist with other ad-hoc duties requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• College Diploma with a focus in accounting/finance
• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting/finance role
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and tasks to meet deadlines while working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Ability to solve problems and take initiative
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Working knowledge of Sage, UKG, Concur and AMEX Global Business Travel considered an asset
• Experience working within a corporate structure that encompasses multiple legal entities considered an asset
