We design, build, and integrate world-class smart robotic solutions to solve challenging material handling and manufacturing problems for a variety of industries. Our projects typically last between 3-12 months and range in value from $500k to $5M with project team sizes between 5 and 20 members.

What would a typical day look like?

• Support the development of project costing, working with internal stakeholders, supply chain and vendors
• Review customer specifications and develop spec responses for proposals including their cost, performance and risk impact
• Support the development (writing, proof-reading and editing) of customer proposal documents and presentations that communicates key points of concepts
• Develop supporting proposal documents including project schedules, project cash flows, installation plans, controlled documents packages, and IQR/EQR documents
• Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities, target dates and scheduling the necessary steps in the Applications/quoting process - information gathering, writing, internal / external reviews, and approvals.

• Coordinating technical simulations and work with vendors on testing equipment critical to the functionality of our systems

• Maintain JMP reference material including historical estimates, video library, simulation library and customer presentation library

• Maintain technical document standards, costing tools, proposal templates and support process improvements within the team.
• Ultimately as an Applications Coordinator, you will work on many different aspects of JMP’s applications along side our Applications, Sales and Operations teams to create winning solutions for our customers!

What qualifies you for this opportunity?

• Experience (2+ years preferred) in the field of factory automation and/or custom machinery
• Superb written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn new software packages:
  • High attention to detail, with skills to prepare documents to be grammatically correct, accurate, mathematically accurate, professional and visually pleasing.
  • Interest in writing and reviewing documentation with the ability to make updates and corrections efficiently.
• Willingness to take initiative in working through a project after being given technical content and direction to create a finished product for team input and future customer presentation.
• Ability to work in a team environment to create a successful finished product.
• Ability to prioritize and work creatively to meet competing deadlines
• Reliable transportation and an ability to travel, you should have the ability to travel within US and Canada
• Post secondary education in Engineering

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
