Job Description
Technical Assembler
Job Summary:
Responsible for assembly and decommissioning and/or destruction of video capture kits and study specific components in a manner that meets company and regulatory standards for accuracy, safety, security, quality and productivity.
Areas of Responsibility:
Assembly
- Following detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures, assemble laptop and all associated components for a Video Capture Kit. Load software and test for correct operation and image transmission in accordance with SOP’s and Work Instructions.
- Gather and assemble study specific materials and install software. Test for correct operation and image transmission in accordance with SOP’s, Work Instructions and study protocol.
- Complete regular kit decommissioning activities which may include the reuse, recycling or destruction of the product and/or components, and completing required status reports, in accordance with project SOPs, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Quality Testing
- Perform routine quality testing and troubleshooting in accordance with standard work instructions.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking adequacy of supplies for current workload, anticipating needed supplies, and report needs to Logistics Coordinators for follow up.
- Complete all administrative functions relating to business or regulatory requirements.
- Create a safe and healthy working environment for oneself and others by working safely; following instructions given for health and safety purposes; attending and completing all training; and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous work conditions in accordance with all application internal policies and legislation
Qualifications:
As the ideal candidate you will possess a strong technical background in electronics or computer hardware including comfort in assembling/dissembling computers. Candidates must possess a minimum of a one-year post-secondary certificate ideally with a focus in Electronics or IT. The successful candidate will also exhibit the following: strong attention to detail, problem solving, refined communication skills (written and verbal), and a passion for electronics and our mission. Knowledge of software configuration and customer service is an asset.
