We have an immediate opening for a Business Analyst. Yes, the job is full-time (you will get weekends, stat holidays and nights off). Yes, it’s remote. Yes, it’s an enjoyable experience. And yes, you will be compensated with real money. Canadian money. If your favourite past times include creating maps, interpreting maps, analyzing maps and following maps, in a business context, YOU WILL FIT PERFECTLY.

  • You don’t have to come to an office! We do have an office, but you are free to explore remotely.
  • We’ll force you to take at least 3 weeks off a year! We call it “vacation” time.

THE POSITION:

We need you to be self-motivated and able to “explore” with minimal supervision. You will be mapping uncharted waters and it can a long, treacherous journey but who knows what TREASURES you might find! You will work with OUR clients to help them deliver the high standard that THEIR clients have come to expect.

 

SO WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Ask “why?” but in an analytical way, not rhetorical.
  • Documenting current state processes and supporting information/artifacts
  • Interview Business Users> Perform Magic> Deliver Requirements
  • Understanding and documenting high-level business needs and requirements
  • Conducting gap analysis for desired outcomes
  • Creating future state business architecture models
  • Developing the business architecture practice
  • Creating recommendations, roadmaps, and impact analysis.
  • Educating and socializing the practice in the organizations we work with

• Maintain executive level communication to all stakeholders through establishing and driving benchmarks to determine effectiveness of software programs and support decision making.

• Interested in being a thought-leader for customer projects.

• Create strategic alliances with clients and partners by building strong relationships that allow for an accurate view of what customers value and how best to deliver that value.

• Work with corporate and operational teams to design, test, and implement programs that further entrench the company’s services with existing customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Unshakable inner strength
  • Ability to breakdown complex systems, understand the relationships in the system and how processes are connected
  • Expert navigator. Your friends might refer to you as “Garmin”
  • Experience with lean principles and agile concepts an asset
  • Financial services background an asset
  • Willingness to grow and learn
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and changing environment
  • Experience with business architecture an asset
  • Experience in the financial services industry an asset
  • Experience documenting processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of products, in particular Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
