Manager, Installation & Quality Assurance

 

As a Manager/Team Lead in Installation & QA you will be responsible for a team facilitating the quality assurance process of installation of construction and specialty equipment.

This role is a management role, and this individual will be responsible for working alongside the Deployment, Product and Customer Success teams to manage feedback on the equipment installation process. They will be responsible for overseeing the communication with install partners as well as internal teams, reporting on trends or issues with quality of telematic installations.

This role will lead programs, processes and systems that support the coaching and training of technicians on installation techniques, supporting quality control checks, driving industry leading standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of day-to-day inspections of telematics installations for all installation partners and customer self-installs
  • Oversee the QA sampling, inspection, and support processes for telematics devices
  • Lead and drive efficiencies in the review of QA inspection processes, specifications, and deviations from standard installation guides, that may affect the quality of the Trackunit Hardware installation
  • Lead the build of systems, processes, capabilities of the QA team
  • Manage the reporting and communication around quality to the Customer Organization, reporting on weekly trends, communications, and updates to the Professional Services Organization
  • Work across internal teams (Product, Engineering, Quality Control, Deployment) to systemize the quality assurance process and communication around quality assurance to install partners, customers, and internal teams
  • Responsible for all SLAs for failed inspections
  • Own the installation guide creation process for our Field Install Tool application, which provides installation documentation for all installs
  • Train technicians on proper installation techniques

Capabilities Sought

  • Electrical Engineering background, preference for a background in construction equipment
  • Management experience
  • Skilled technician on construction and specialty equipment
  • Experience with software systems like Asana, Confluence, JIRA, Salesforce
  • Experience with fleet management and telematics systems
  • Strong computer skill, analytics, and data-driven decision-making skills.
