We are looking for an Agile Coach (internal title is Program Manager).

 

Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London, Winnipeg. 

 

You have strong leadership capabilities and will drive out a leading-edge transformation of Agile practices & methodology within Global Corporate Technology.  You will have the bandwidth to roll out new ways of working that will bring visibility to our pipeline of work as well as a clear understanding of resource capacity!

 

What you will do 

  • Ability to implement new ways of working from traditional Waterfall by helping to role out and leverage tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage work intake and capacity management via daily stand-ups and agile methodologies
  • Experience leading teams leveraging Kanban boards and ability to coach teams to this discipline
  • Ability to educate, coach and guide team members on a journey or change
  • Organizes, facilitates & leads agile program processes and their execution, escalates impediments, manages risk, and helps drive program-level continuous improvement leveraging Jira & Confluence
  • This role is a “hands-on” collaborative and facilitative role that drives all the Program ceremonies and processes associated with scaled Agile Management Framework (AMF) and holds the overall responsibility for all the processes and people involved in the product deliveries within the Agile Release
  • Provide end-to-end project management; including but not limited to building and managing the detailed schedule, managing financials, resource forecasting, identifying early warning indicators, and proposing solutions
  • Identification and management of dependencies; ensuring dependent work is closely tracked and delivered to prevent schedule slippage
  • Collect project & initiative performance indicators, build status reports, Management & VP-level presentations
  • Communicate with various stakeholders for all verticals (HR, Finance/Actuarial, Risk & Compliance)
  • Drives continuous improvement and change, engaging stakeholders to identify business problems and create scalable solutions that adapt the Agile process and drive productivity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ability to transition to coaching role with expertise in leading-edge theories or techniques in their own field. Uses these insights to contribute to the development of Scrum Master strategies
