At VidHug (https://vidhug.com), we enable anyone to create fun, visually-appealing, and meaningful group video messages to celebrate the people in their lives. This helps them stay connected to their loved ones over long distances or when getting together simply isn’t an option. We do so with a software platform that our users love because it is quick, easy to use, and produces a special and memorable surprise.

We are a small, growing startup, serving a large and engaged user base that has sent over 2 million video “hugs” around the world. The team is primarily based in London, Ontario, Canada, and works in a hybrid model of both remote and co-located team members. We are bootstrapped, high-growth startup with plans to expand.

We often hear the phrases “tears of joy” and “best gift I ever received” from our customers. Working on a product that makes people feel loved and appreciated motivates us and we’re looking for people to share that sentiment.


The Role

As our Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Based on the VidHug brand identity (visuals, voice, etc.), help to define a Marketing Plan, outlining the tactics and strategies to be used across all marketing channels

  • Define and implement regular content strategy (video & written) strategy across all channels (website, blog, social media)

  • Analyze and identify customer segments and “jobs to be done” of users

  • Implement, measure, and evaluate digital marketing campaigns (e-mail, social, etc.)

  • Plan and manage the marketing budget for to maximize effectiveness

  • Collaborate with Customer Success team to engage users

  • Collaborate with internal and external marketing personnel to help execute the above

  • You are data-driven and determine the success of your marketing by collecting data and analyzing the results.

  • You are comfortable working remotely (e.g. from home) or in a co-located team

  • You prioritize quality over velocity, but generally deliver on-time or within your estimates


Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience (3+ years) marketing for a (preferably B2C) online presence (SAAS, e-commerce, social, etc.)

  • Experience (3+ years) with these types of marketing:

    • E-mail

    • Content

    • Social Media

  • Experience (3+ years) with content creation, visual and written, for marketing purposes (with shareable examples)

Assets:

  • Agency experience

  • PPC marketing

  • Social media management tools

  • Graphic design tools

  • Copywriting

  • SEO, SEM

  • Video editing
