Reporting to the Vice President, Information and Business Technology (IBT), the Project Support Specialist is a hands-on role responsible for managing the implementation of various projects and supporting critical strategic initiatives of global business units, with a focus on IT-related projects and solutions.

Using best-practice project management processes and procedures, and working under the guidance of a Project Manager, the Project Support Specialist is accountable for the efficient and effective delivery of projects including business process analysis, requirements gathering, creation of business and technology specifications, and software and user acceptance testing.

Here are some of the different activities you’ll be asked to do:

  • Accountable for the successful delivery small to mid-size projects, driving project delivery, identifying dependencies impacting prioritization and escalating resource allocation risks
  • Ensure a clear understanding of projects’ progress, plans, risk, and status is reported to project sponsors, identifying and escalating conflicts wherever they arise
  • Support business continuity by ensuring critical business processes are fully documented
  • Coordinate with technical staff, vendors, and consultants to develop and execute test plans and resolve software defects
  • Effectively engage with Jones leadership, contractors, customers, suppliers, third parties and project stakeholders throughout the duration of projects, developing positive, enduring relationships

If you’ve got:

  • Postsecondary degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a hands-on project implementation role
  • Solid practical knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches
