The Opportunity
In this role you will:
Focus on Networking
  • Monitoring network stability
  • Troubleshooting network problems
  • Reporting problems to leadership and users
  • Provides and receives cross-discipline training in order to ensure maximum availability of systems under management
  • Coordinating third party maintenance
  • Upgrading and updating network hardware and software
  • Developing and maintaining network administration documentation
  • Propose and execute improvements to the infrastructure, focusing on cloud solutions
  • Acts as an internal consultant, mentor and provider of technical guidance
  • Actively pursues opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools and processes for systems under management
Focus on the Helpdesk
  • Rapid response to plant hardware/software issues halting/slowing manufacturing processes
  • Responding to the needs and questions of users
  • Configuring and deploying workstations, laptops and other I.T. equipment for local and remote users
 
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and four (4) years of experience
  • At least three (3) years experience with Desktop Support and Network operations
  • Certified with Cisco Switches
  • Windows server administration
  • Server OS patch management
  • DNS /DHCP
  • File & print services
  • Extensive knowledge of windows 10 operating system
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot problems quickly to reduce downtime of Network and System operations
  • A vertical skillset that encompasses problem identification, analysis, solution definition, results, and communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures (wear a face mask, other appropriate PPE, social distance)
  • Familiar with Windows 11, SAP S4 Hana/Fiori, Cloud based Cisco telephone system, Cisco Journey Platform, MPLS infrastructure
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects an asset
  • Knowledge of the below assets:
    • Cloud server applications and migrating from on prem to Cloud based architecture
    • Big Fix endpoint management platform
    • Ubiquity Wi-Fi solution
    • Veeam backup solution manager
    • VMware
    • Hyper-V
    • Mac iOS
