Job Details

CARFAX Canada is excited to announce that we are looking for a new addition to our growing team in the role of IT Support Specialist I. This role will be mission critical in assisting the IT Operations team to provide support for all office hardware and software.

 The IT Support Specialist I will report to the Technical Operations Manager, while working closely with all departments at CARFAX Canada to support business needs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, with proven technical capabilities in a fast-paced and evolving business environment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Previous experience training non-technical people on application use and functionality is an asset.   

Position Responsibilities

  • Monitor tickets to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
  • Assist with the deployment and management of all desktop applications and office hardware
  • Assist with other IT Support requirements as needed, including first line support
  • Manage CARFAX Canada’s office services including: Office 365, Active Directory, File server, Exchange, Authenticator
  • Support MS Office, Dynamics GP, Dynamics CRM, and SharePoint throughout the organization
  • Support Zoom rooms, Zoom application, Slack
  • Contribute to enforcing computer and mobile device usage policies
  • Contribute to IT initiatives including research, evaluation, and deployment of software and hardware
  • Assist other departments with identifying technology needs

 Education and experience required

  • Degree or diploma in computer science, or similar
  • Hands on technical experience supporting users in a corporate environment
  • Exchange Server 2013 administration experience
  • Technical experience supporting Office 365, Exchange, Dynamics GP, and SharePoint including hybrid deployments
  • Demonstrated technical skills in a Microsoft-based environment (Active directory, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008/2012)
  • Strong technical skills relating to multiple mobile platforms (IOS, Android, Windows)
  • Proficient in business software, including Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with desktop and application management using SCCM 2012 and Intune
  • Experience supporting Mac computers and MS Cloud knowledge an asset
