In a role of  IT Operations and Project Manager you will: 1) lead all aspects of IT projects prioritization and gate management process governance to ensure all approved project requirements are on schedule and on track delivered by respective teams.  2) Provide governance over the Masco Canada Technical computer systems infrastructure and manage the daily operations of the team.

  • 7+ years of post-degree IT Project Management / IT Operations experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field 

  • Proficient with Networking, Security, Computer Operations principles

What you will do: 

  • Work closely with Executive Leadership Team to lead projects prioritization process

  • For projects assigned, lead multi-functional teams to achieve project requirements, deadlines and schedules, identify and resolve project issues, prepare project status reports

  • Manage and supervise the IT Operations Team

  • Ensure that the systems environment is secure and operates to maintain maximum uptime and availability. 

  • Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating IT Operations Staff Members

  • Provide oversight and governance over the Masco Canada Computer Systems Infrastructure, Security and Operations.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to the daily operations of the IT Department

  • Lead and execute the IT Service Management (ITSM) strategy

  • Build, deliver, and analyze performance metrics for IT Operations area; identify problem areas and take appropriate action. Ensure appropriate three shift systems support is operating effectively.

  • Ensure Software Compliance and Licensing.

  • Manage technical equipment/system life cycles. Identify and action support and replacement strategies.

  • Act as direct liaison with IT Compliance Audits.

  • Develop and deploy business continuity strategies. Provide oversight and governance with Security systems for Masco Canada.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with employees, other groups, Masco and vendors.

  • Be active on the vendors service front and be quick and accurate with communication.

  • Drive individual accountability for members of the IT Operations Team through leading by example

  • Where vital, assist in the re-engineering of business process on a project by project basis

  • Ensure adherence by team members of corporate and departmental policies and procedures

  • Design and implement strategies to empower the Team to achieve departmental goals
