Database Administrator 

Who is a DataBase Administrator?

The Database Administrator’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Address requests received through service desk ticketing system to resolve issues related to database, on-prem and in cloud in order to ensure services are accessible by business
  • Design, develop, and build database, data warehouse, and business intelligence platform
  • Design various data solutions such as database and data warehouse following operational and security best practices to meet business needs
  • Develop integration with other systems and automated reporting to provide business with visibility
  • Test, maintain, and monitor databases, to ensure functionality and availability using various tools
  • Deploy new technologies though coordinating with third party vendors or partners to address business needs
  • Implement and oversee database backup to provide safeguard for critical data and minimize the risk of data loss
  • Perform database maintenance including database updates to ensure that GoodLife systems meet operational and security baselines
  • Work with third party vendors and partners during the phase of implementing new systems as well as after implementation through various method of collaboration to ensure proper and efficient systems operations
  • Compose internal documentation with minimal oversight to reflect processes and system configurations

Do you have what it takes?

  • College degree in information technology
  • 4 years relevant experience
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL
  • Experience in Cloud environment such as Azure and AWS
  • Experience in Informatica and Snowflake
