Business Systems Analyst - PathNet

 

 

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the efficient design, coding, testing, and maintenance of advanced aspects of clinical software applications to satisfy clinical user and system requirements. The role leads projects through all phases of the information systems life cycle, including systems design, process and workflow analysis, project oversight and work group delegation for the implementation and operational support of applications. This position works in collaboration with clinical departments to define problems, develop alternatives, assess impacts and lead the delivery of the recommended solutions. The incumbent is considered a subject matter expert on their respective applications and provides guidance and expertise to applicable team member.

 

 

Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Applications, the Business Systems Analyst leads project teams through all phases of the information systems life cycle, including project planning, systems analysis, process redesign, workflow analysis, market assessment, implementation and ongoing support of clinical support computer applications throughout the hospital and across the Region. This role will support OneChart PathNet applications.

 

 

Status: Regular Full-time

 

Rate of Pay: $46.18 per hour - $57.72 per hour

 

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

 

Qualifications

 
  • Successful completion of a two (2) year certificate or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field; Successful completion of a four (4) year undergraduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years recent, related experience as an analyst in either a technical or functional environment
  • Previous recent and relevant experience with Cerner Millennium PathNet Application
  • Recent work experience supporting complex software applications and how they enable staff and departments to be more efficient and effective in their use of technology for managing their clinical environment
  • Recent work experience with IT software development life cycle management and working with cross-functional teams to support medium and large scale software application implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills to requirements gathering, problem identification, solving & solution mapping
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business and systems process re-design
  • Demonstrated ability to research and assimilate a large quantity of technical information into practical, business solutions
  • Project Management Institute PMP certification preferred
  • Ability to work with leadership at all levels to implement both strategic and operational change
  • Excellent change management, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Superior written, oral, presentation, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and to work as a team member while providing direction to others
  • Demonstrated experience in being flexible, adaptable and open to change
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities & changing demands that require attention to detail
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
  • Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
