Software Developer is a role in our Corporate IT team.

 

This is an office-based role with the option of a hybrid work arrangement.

 

Must be available to come into the London, Ontario office 3 days per week.

You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or software development and 3+ years of software development experience. You hold a MCTS on SQL Server 2008 certificate, MCITP on SQL Server certificate, MCPD or MCTS on visual studio 2005 or 2008 certificate. You have experience developing with Visual Basic, VBA, HTML, JavaScript, ASP.Net, VB.Net and Ajax, PHP, Phyton, and C# as well as experience with SQL Server Integration Services and RESTful API.

 

You also have the following experience:

  • Drupal 3+ experience including customer modules and themes development; architecting and developing websites and web application development
  • Ddeveloping PHP applications under LAMP using frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Zend or Cake and MySQL and SQL server databases
  • Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, AJAX, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of C++, .net development, and Phyton
  • Knowledge of web-based programming languages such as HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Cross browser compatibility issues (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
  • Deployment to cloud environment such as AWS and Azure
  • Delivery of mobile-based solutions
  • Delivery of ETL-based solutions
  • Delivery of RESTful API based solutions
  • Ability to articulate complex technical ideas to non-technical people
  • Project-based management experience
  • Ability to manage a multi-project schedule

 

As a member of the Trudell Development team, you will support business decision making and efficient operations by designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing customized software programming applications.

 

Specifically, you will focus on:

 

Language and Framework Development

  • Build custom solutions to meet business needs
  • Facilitate software architecture discussions
  • Both independently and in collaboration with technical resources, ensure the development of customized application software utilizing appropriate language and resources
  • Participate in collaborations regarding requirements, testing, presentations and project preparations

 

Application Maintenance

  • Support and maintain applications, data integrations, and websites
  • Deploy new project releases
  • Author technical documents
  • Ensure reliable performance and availability of websites and customized solutions

 

Projects

  • Coordinate tasks with internal resources
  • Collaborate with external resources as needed
