Market Research Senior Associate

 

Location: Remote Canada

Reports to: Research Manager

The Role: You will support the cross functional study design teams for our customer satisfaction survey research based business. The primary duties of the Research team include working with the internal key stakeholders to develop new or revised survey content, to ensure that survey content meets J.D. Power’s high standards, develop and maintain the sample design for our syndicated research products and conduct data validation. You will work closely with the Data Science team to ensure studies are designed to maintain scientific integrity.  As part of the role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the  syndicated studies are produced in an efficient and timely manner.

The Impact: The Senior Research Associate will be an individual contributor a team of about 20 Research Design analysts. You are expected to be a self-starter who can work without close supervision and will with other departments within the company’s matrix environment. You and your team will ensure that J.D. Power studies are developed or redesigned to meet client needs in a timely manner and ensure that the production of the syndicated study is efficient and smooth.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that survey and sample plan designs meet J.D. Power standards
  • Develop and document survey and sample plan specifications and artifacts
  • Work with survey programming and data processing specialists to ensure study designs are implemented as planned
  • Perform QA processes on survey data to ensure data validity (DP specs, SP skip logic/programming)
  • Produce and validate data files used by clients and internally for analysis

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in market research and/or related fields
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to write technical documents
  • Copy Editing and/or Computer programming experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Proficient in SPSS (Preferred not required)
