Business Systems Analyst Co-op Student

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst Co-op Student to join our API Integration team, focusing on API products that enable our digital customer journeys.

We are on a strategic transformation journey for our digital cutomer. Designing and building state of art, reliable, performant and secure API products is a critical enabler of that transformation journey.

Role description The Business Systems Analyst Co-op Student will analyze business problems, gather requirements, document API product specifications and contribute towards API product design efforts.

What you will do 

• Gather, elicit, define and confirm integration requirements
• Create data mapping documents between API and front end / back end
• Contribute to the creation of OpenAPI specs and JDL files
• Create southbound orchestration specs
• Document acceptance criteria for each story
• Create development stories and tasks

What you will bring 

• Taking direction on desired outcomes, the what and why of a problem, and bringing the dirve, curiosity and initiative to solve for it
• Written and spoken articulation skills
• The spirit of collaboration and thriving within a team environment
• Hands on experience with OO programming languages (JAVA preferred) and scripting (Java, Javascript, Beanshell)
• Understanding on Standard data formats including XML and JSON

• Understanding of Agile Practices
• Technical Writing - Ability to read and understand technical specifications for Specification Documents
• Knowledge of database design
• Prior experience or knowledge of ETL (nice to have) and mainframe technologies (nice to have), Domain Modelling (nice to have)
