Talent Acquisition Manager

OSG is excited to add a Talent Acquisition Manager to our HR Team. Within this integral role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement the Talent strategy for OSG by building exceptional partnerships with our leadership team across the organization. 

As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will own and develop a scalable and effective recruitment strategy for the organization, proactively understanding the needs of OSG to ensure agility for future planning and long-term business needs. Acting as a subject matter expert you will be responsible to build, implement, and evaluate recruitment strategies and processes across the organization using data, best practices, and creativity. As the Talent Leader, you will develop strong relationships with hiring managers, providing coaching and training on interview best practices and candidate selection in order to scale and grow teams and secure top talent. Creation, execution, and evaluation, of exceptional candidates' experience, plans from the first point of contact through onboarding and beyond will also be the main focus of this role. Additionally, you will establish and execute an “Employer of Choice” strategy and own branding initiatives internally and externally.

What will you do in this role?

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead the talent acquisition function, using data to develop strategies to proactively position the organization within the evolving recrutiment landscape 
  • Use an analytical approach to build a scalable and agile recruitment framework ensuring alignment with the priorities of the teams, hiring managers, and business as well as the ability to support the growth of future recruitment efforts 
  • Develop efficient and effective recruitment strategies and campaign plans to engage and identify diverse talent while building and optimizing candidate pipelines for current and future openings
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment from the initial job requisition to new hire onboarding, using data to evaluate for optimization and efficiency 
  • Develop and own a high-touch candidate experience from application to offer, acting as a candidate advocate, evaluating skills, and driving the interview and selection process
  • Continuously evaluate recruitment practices, identifying areas for improvement, and work cross-functionally to ensure alignment and effective implementation
  • Partner with hiring managers in order to build strong relationships, and gain an understanding of team and company needs, while proactively developing short and long term talent plans 
  • Keep up to date on trends, best practices, and talent market realities in order to evolve or pivot when necessary

Employer Advocate & Branding

  • Act as the employer branding champion by using social platforms to drive conversations, build networks, and our “Employer of Choice” brand recognition
  • As the employer branding subject matter expert own and develop internal processes to ensure consistency in how our hiring managers and interviewers represent our brand in a meaningful way
  • Own social media initiatives geared toward growing our employer brand including, candidate marketing campaigns, content creation, and schedules 

Coaching & Training

  • Develop and facilitate applicable recruitment training programs to ensure alignment on hiring goals, best practices, and expectations
  • Provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment practices and candidate selection utilizing market data and trends when necessary
  • Conduct regular touchpoints and follow-ups with hiring managers, gathering data to determine the effectiveness of recruitment plans and strategies 

What do we look for?

  • Post-Secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 5-7 years in a recruiter role, with at least 2 years experience recruiting in tech, and 2 years in a people leader role
  • Experience hiring a wide variety of roles (marketing, sales, tech, etc) at all levels (junior to director roles)
  • Experience developing and executing a strategic recrutiment framework, with a focus on diversity best practices and strategy with the goal to scale an organization  
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and team members to understand and conceptualize growth and long term plans
  • Strong experience with creating effective sourcing strategies, an expert in social media, and recruitment tools ideally with passive candidates in the tech industry
  • Proven experience developing, automating, and scaling recruiting practices for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with hiring managers and the ability to guide them through best practices for attracting diverse talent
  • Experience developing and facilitating internal training programs focusing on recruitment and interviewing best practices
  • Experience owning a recruitment budget, using data to determine and optimize efforts, and allocating resources and costs appropriately
  • Creative, analytical, and metric-oriented using data to form decisions, evaluate success, and continuously improve processes and practices
  • Results-oriented and resourceful in developing recruitment strategies in order to attract and retain diverse talent
  • Knowledgeable and interested in the ever-changing recruitment landscape, always up to date with changes and evolving best practices 
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws to ensure compliance in practice and policy
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills
