Job Description:
Hive Media Group is looking for a tech savvy Project Specialist to work alongside our team of developers, analysts, and digital media professionals to manage and maintain our technical projects, and products, from start to finish. You will be tasked with managing the integration process for our M&A efforts, bi-wwekly sprint planning, and keeping everyone organized and on track! In order to be effective in this role, you must be extremely organized, an effective communicator, and able to work cross functionally in a technical environment. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure successful integration for merger and acquisition projects; creating and managing implementation checklists, following through on asset transfer (data, infrastructure, and social media accounts, etc.) 
  • “Own” the bi-weekly sprint-planning; facilitate sprint meetings, manage sprint burndowns and help remove sprint impediments.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, discuss progress, and ensure common understanding of priorities.
  • Organize and maintain internal backlog and ensure tasks and feature updates are completed on schedule. 
  • Plan, track, and analyze project progress using Pivotal Tracker.
  • Communicate updates to stakeholders and provide timely and accurate reports on overall productivity. 
  • Ad-hoc administrative functions relating to product updates, backlog refinement, implementation, and maintenance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience with Project Management and collaboration Software (Pivotal Tracker, Confluence, Slack).
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong business and technical acumen and a willingness and aptitude to learn unfamiliar concepts, and to stay informed of new technologies.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to adapt to different working styles and create a cohesive collaborative environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills.
  • Extremely organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Haves:
  • SCRUM and/or PMP certification.
  • Prior administrative experience at a tech or digital media company.
