The temporary full-time Project Coordinator, Permits & Approvals, supports Project Managers in guiding land development projects from post-acquisition to construction-ready. The role focuses on securing permits, meeting environmental, zoning, and regulatory requirements, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

About the Role

  • Support the planning and execution of large-scale land development projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Prepare and submit applications and technical reports for permits, rezoning, variances, and other approvals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, developers, and government agencies to drive project success.

  • Liaise with stakeholders and community groups to communicate project goals and address concerns.

  • Conduct site assessments, including zoning analysis and environmental reviews, to evaluate feasibility.

  • Interact daily with division staff, external partners, consultants, and government officials.

  • Ensure high standards of organization, detail, and professionalism in all work.

  • Communicate effectively with patience, enthusiasm, and clarity across all stakeholder interactions.

  • Stay updated on land development trends, sustainability, and emerging technologies.

  • Adhere to company policies and take on additional duties as assigned.

 

Experience

  • Complete at least 2 years of post-secondary education, working towards an engineering or planning degree from an accredited university.
  • Proficient in collaborating with diverse teams across various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in a professional context.
  • Able to operate independently and be self-motivated to complete urgent and long-term tasks.
  • A strong interest in or familiarity with Land Development will be considered an asset.
