Responsibilities: 

  • Support and implement the company’s annual recruitment strategy
  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting to attract and onboard top talent by:
    • Posting jobs to appropriate job boards, social media networks, and other sources
    • Screening candidate resumes and conducting interviews to assess qualifications, technical skills and fit for organizational culture
    • Coordinating practical assessments and panel interviews
    • Creating candidate pipelines by reviewing applications and profiles on social media, attending networking events, and using creative methods to recruit and attract qualified candidates
    • Conducting reference checks and initiating background checks and pre-employment screening
  • Manage Student Recruitment program by:
    • Working with function managers to identify student placement needs and opportunities
    • Partnering with Post-Secondary Institutions to recruit interns and co-op students for open positions
    • Participating in and coordinating DBG’s involvement in campus recruiting events, job fairs and hackathons to raise brand awareness
  • Organize and initiate onboarding for new hires
  • Review recruitment process and strategies and identify opportunities for enhancement
  • Assess and revise job descriptions, specifications and interview guides as required
  • Apply for student grant funding as available
  • Periodic travel may be required
  • Such other tasks as may be required and assigned

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • 3-4+ years of experience hiring for technical positions (ex. Penetration Tester, Software Developer, System Administrator, etc.) or for specialized knowledge-based positions
  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources, Information Technology or commensurate work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit technical or specialized talent and to identify opportunities to increase an organization’s visibility in the market
  • Experience using various sourcing techniques to identify and attract top talent
  • Capable of recognizing the skills and abilities of candidates throughout the recruiting process
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System considered an asset
