Job Type: Full-time 1-year, with opportunity for permanent placement
Location: Based at our London, Ontario Office, with flexible work-from-home Fridays.
Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000
The London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is the lead economic development agency for London, Canada. We work with business, government, and community partners to attract business investment, develop a connected and supportive business climate, and grow London's talented workforce.
As the Economic Research Coordinator, you will support our work in investment attraction, workforce development and business growth. What You’ll Do
Research: Gather data to support investment attraction, business growth, and workforce development.
Reporting & Insights: Translate research and data into clear reports, presentations and briefings.
Outreach and Engagement: Support external outreach to businesses, economic development partners, and community organizations. Assist with talent attraction and workforce development initiatives.
Collaboration and Special Projects: Work closely with LEDC team members on cross-functional projects to support economic development goals. Participate in external initiatives as needed to support LEDC’s economic development efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong research and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects at once.
- A multi-tasker comfortable taking direction from multiple team members and adapting to shifting priorities.
- A university Degree or three-year college diploma in Data Analytics, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with Excel, data visualization tools, and/or economic research platforms is an asset.
