Director - Utilities Intelligence
 

Location:       Remote – Canada - must be able to travel the US

Reports to:     Vice President – Utilities and TMT Intelligence

The Role:

J.D. Power has a long-standing utilities practice supporting electric, natural gas, and water utilities. We are seeking a practice director to deeply engage with our clients via our syndicated benchmark studies and to advise them on continually improving their customers’ experiences. You will have the responsibility of delivering J.D. Power study results to dozens of utilities clients, as well as leading several utilities syndicated benchmark studies at J.D. Power.
 

The Impact You Will Have in This Role:

The practice director will act as a subject matter expert for J.D. Power (syndicated study development, data analytics, and client presentations). You will develop and conduct client presentations, working to identify customer-driven opportunities and make first-rate recommendations to drive business results for our clients.

 

What You’ll Be Doing in This Role: 

  • Interact strategically with key industry stakeholders, including delivery of virtual and onsite client presentations
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities with the sales team, be involved in consulting projects with clients
  • Work with the product team to design and launch new products
  • Create and deliver thought leadership – publications, conferences, etc.
  • Some travel required - must be able to travel the US

 

Qualifications of this Role:

  • Advanced utilities industry experience and a strong understanding of customer experience best practices
  • Understanding of critical strategic challenges for utilities such as sustainability, electric vehicle and brand management leadership
  • Strong communication skills, specifically proven ability to deliver presentations in front of Senior Executives, and professional writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing data and developing insights
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university
