It is a place where you will find community and collaboration, where you will work with diverse individuals with their own unique stories and experiences. McLean is a place where success is celebrated by the whole team – a place where you are encouraged to stretch and grow.

McLean & Company is a division of Info-Tech Research Group.

Key Responsibilities:

As an experienced Research Analyst, you will:

  • Participate in development of structured research projects throughout the year leveraging our best practice research processes and methodologies. These research projects, called blueprints, are “Do It Yourself” guides on specific types of client projects that outline a step-by-step process for completing the project.
  • Coach project team members to achieve project goals, objectives, and craft skills, as well as work solo on research projects as required.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to identify best practices in a subject area, develop frameworks around unstructured topics, and create/integrate memorable insights into practical research blueprints.
  • Participate in ongoing peer review to give and receive constructive feedback to continuously improve quality of research projects.
  • Deliver client-facing subject matter expertise, insights, and advice, in the context of their specific organizational environment, through advisory calls, consulting, and presentations.
  • Contribute to a research agenda that meets the needs of members by developing a deep understanding of what McLean & Company members require to be successful HR professionals.
  • Participate in the scoping, development, and delivery of online workshops to assist members in accelerating their HR projects.
  • Participate in critical sales calls (telephone and in-person) to assist the sales staff in pitching the McLean & Company value proposition and in matching our content to the needs of the client.

Key Selection Criteria:

Essential Skills/Education:

  • Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills, with strong teamwork orientation, and superior listening skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the desire and ability to develop strong facilitation skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
  • Adept at speaking with clients and other experts in an investigative capacity.
  • Structured, logical thinking processes and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to develop insights.
  • Strong project and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Intellectually curious about the effect of HR on the business landscape, with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Proven critical thinking and analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights independently.
  • Proven ability to create frameworks around fuzzy or unstructured topics, to enable colleagues and clients with executable, practical solutions to HR challenges.
  • Thinks beyond the confines of traditional models to generate insights, recognize opportunities and find new and better ways to do things.
  • Ability to coach analysts and peers and provide feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions that demonstrate a broader scope of contextual and business understanding, rather than just an HR focus.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills, as you will be working in these daily.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, flexible, rapidly changing work environment.
  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Psychology, or Human Resources.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, with depth of knowledge in at least 1 of McLean & Company’s HR Taxonomy areas.
