Financial Accountant

ZTR has an opportunity for an eager, self-starter in the role of Financial Accountant. In this entry level position, you will be accountable for processing, accounting, and budgeting for payroll, while providing Profit & Loss, headcount, and expense analysis to the Finance Team.

As the Financial Accountant, you will:

• Process and manage Canadian/ US payroll processes including timestamp review, employee changes, and payroll processing validation with ADP.
• Manage employee expenses processes
• Review and monitor monthly sales transactions and calculate sales team commissions
• Prepare professional monthly journal entries including payroll, expenses and benefits
• Assist with preparing financial estimates in relation to budgeting and forecasting; including payroll and headcount analysis
• Ensures compliance with all legislative requirements and company policies, procedures, and established practices.
• Assist with all other general accounting functions as required

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Post secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economic, or relevant equivalent
• Accounting Designation is an asset
• 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
• Canadian Payroll Association courses and/or payroll experience is an asset
• Excellent customer service, and business communication skills with all levels of staff and internal stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail, and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with ADP is an asset
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Ability to be resourceful, flexible, and team-oriented in a high- paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
