The Opportunity
We are recruiting a proficient and detail-oriented Engineering Services Technologist to provide clients engineering and project management services for both propane storage and handling, and plant and terminal design and construction. In this role, the successful candidate will focus on designing processes and piping, defining procurement specifications, delivering design packages for bidding and construction, and providing overall support to the team. The main duties will include:
- Develop CAD engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for industrial facilities
- Develop PFD, P&ID, piping isometrics, equipment and instrument specification, engineering quotation requests, hydraulic system calculations and storage/handling design
- Support in the preparation of engineering documents and regulatory applications
- Assist in the preparation of cost and material estimates, project schedules, and reports
- Conduct project management and construction management duties
- Aid in the development and continuous improvement of our engineering services
The Ideal Candidate
- Has graduated from a mechanical or civil engineering technology program
- Is highly competent in 2D drawing in AutoCAD, including standardized drafting principles
- Has familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D or P&ID is an asset
- Enjoys working in a regulated industry with a variety of codes and standards
- Maintains a high level of productivity while remaining detail oriented
- Enjoys working both in a team environment and individually, with limited supervision
